Maori Education Trust Scholarships

 The M?ori Education Trust (Te tari o ng? kaitiaki m? ng? take M?tauranga M?ori ) was formed under the M?ori Education Foundation Act 1961. Its basic objective was to encourage M?ori into tertiary education. The initial scholarships were derived from public raised funds and private bequests which were subsidised by Government. Additional income is derived by the provision of fee-based service contracts.
