Where?
At Dive HQ Whangarei. We have our own instore heated dive training pool and air conditioned lecture room, making learning to dive very convenient for you.
Your qualifying dives are completed over two days One days coastal dives (2 scuba dives) and one day at the World reknowned Poor Knights Islands aboard a charter boat.(2 Scuba dives & one snorkel)
Our training equipment is of the highest quality equipment and is regularly serviced.
NZQA Unit credits are available
for all our courses!

We can complete referrals from other agencies

When?
We have regularly scheduled courses throughout the year, although training can be arranged to meet any busy schedule.
Evening courses
The Pool & Theory is held over 6 nights. This can be two or three nights per week and we complete the sea dives at weekends. We normally start at 5.30pm. These Courses can be tailored to suit you.
Weekend courses are done over three weekends The first two weekends you complete your Pool & theory and the following weekend you do your Sea Dives at the Poor Knights Islands. Get two or more people together and we can tailor the course to suit you.
We can complete courses during the daytime over 5 days - 3 Days Pool & theory and 2 days Sea dives. During the summer season these are extremely popular and are being held continuously.

Recreational Scuba Instructor Courses - 16 weeks
This course takes the diver through to dive Instructor while gaining extensive dive leadership, recreation & first Aid skills Graduates will achieve Open Water Scuba instructor.
Career Orientated Dive Instructor - 36 week full time
Designed for the certified diver, dedicated to a career within the Industry.. the full year Diploma course Includes 28 days in Tonga giving graduates hands on dive experience & Instruction Skills to the higher levels. The course content covers related industry skills, customer service , first aid, retail training, marketing, boat handling and much more.
Dive & Outdoor Recreation Programme - 36 weeks part time
This unique qualification takes the non or entry level diver to dive leader, while gaining experience in leading diving & outdoor adventure activities. Includes 7 days Tonga Marine tourism Course Free
Free Scuba Course for 16 & 17 years old - full time
Skill NZ course includes Scuba Diving, Life Skills, Work skills .
Conditions apply - Star funded programmes - We are accredited to run these programmes for Schools. Courses start Jan 2001 - you may start any time there is a vacancy.
