The APPA Music Scholarship Fund has been initiated through generous sponsorship from Northern Districts Knights Templar Foundation, a Masonic Trust. An annual allocation, which this year is $3000 will be made available for scholarships to primary or intermediate aged children in the Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.

Scholarships of up to $1500 will be awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional musical talent or potential and whose personal/financial circumstances may make it difficult for them to further their studies without financial assistance.

Applicants may be seeking the cost of tuition on an instrument o rvoice or for composition, or alternatively assistance with the purchase of a musical instrument or other associated costs. Applicants may be invited to perform at a recital on 13 October where final adjudication will take place.

Applications close 6 September. Application forms are available from and returned to APPA Secretary, Megan Bowden, c/-Royal Oak Primary School, Chandler Ave, Royal Oak, Auckland.
