D.A.R.E. New Zealand, with the approval of D.A.R.E. International, has developed, produced and implemented six educational programmes that are unique to Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Some of these programmes are delivered in partnership between the classroom teacher and a trained Police Education Officers. D.A.R.E. New Zealand maintains a strong affiliation with New Zealand Police.
D.A.R.E. New Zealand also offers programmes to other organisations and individuals for use in educating and supporting children, young people and families.
There are six programmes:
Dare to make a Choice - for 5-6 and 7-8 yr olds
Tena Kowhira- the same programme in Te Reo Maori.
Dare to Drive to survive- for 11 - 13 yr olds
Dare to make a Change- a positive personal change programme for young people.
Dare to Support your Kids- a programme for parents or caregivers whose childern are going through Dare to make a Choice or Tena Kowhiri.
