After the Suicide of Someone you know.

ANNOUNCING A NEW YOUTH RESOURCE

AFTER THE SUICIDE
of someone you know

information and support for young people
by Tricia Irving skylight, and Leora Hirsh SPINZ

This new skylight resource provides what's
been missing an easy to read, youth friendly
source of good, practical information for
young people who have been bereaved by
suicide. It might be a family member or a
friend who has died or a team mate, a
neighbour, an acquaintance, or a celebrity or
role model they look up to. Whatever the
situation, the impact on a young person can
be very difficult to navigate through. In this
resource parents/carers and professionals can
be assured of a down to earth, honest and
safe approach to the aftermath of suicide.
Specialists from all over New Zealand have
been consulted so the best quality of content
could be written. The authors also networked
with many young people to make sure the
book was reflective of their real needs.
