What is the NZAGC?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The New Zealand Association for Gifted Children (NZAGC) exists to promote the needs of gifted children at national level and support and foster initiatives at local level which meet those needs.

Membership of the NZAGC is for individuals, associations or schools who wish to support the aims of the Association and keep in contact with us; for parents of gifted children who do not live near a branch; and for others with a professional interest in the field.

Our committee (National Council) is made up of branch representatives and advisors from the gifted education field.

We have an extensive library. Members can borrow items for just the cost of postage.

NZAGC publishes Tall Poppies, a magazine aimed at the family of the gifted child and professionals involved with child development.

The autonomous regional branches organise activities - clubdays, speakers, parent evenings and so on - where gifted children and their parents can find support, friendship and stimulation.

For more information go to New Zealand Association for Gifted Children (NZAGC).
