Creative Writing Course Online
Author : Ed

Children's writer contributes to the Creative Writing Course.

Leading New Zealand childrens writer Joy Cowley has contributed her years of expertise in both writing and teaching to Whitireias online Writing for Children course.

Almost every kid in New Zealand has read Joy Cowleys delightful school readers and childrens books. Older readers have loved her teenage and adult fiction. Now she has made her teaching notes available to the Whitireia Creative Writing Programme. They have been incorporated in the online Writing for Children course, offered as part of the online Diploma in Creative Writing.

The course was offered for the first time in 2006, and was full almost as soon as it was advertised. It runs for 16 weeks, and covers the range of childrens writing, with plenty of information about publishers and other opportunities.

Shaped around Joy Cowleys notes, given so generously, the course also includes contributions from other leading childrens writers.

Details on how to apply are in Diploma in Creative Writing Online, under Creative Writing. Or for information email Pip Byrne, coordinator of the Creative Writing Programme, [email protected]
