Goodman Fielder identifies excellent schools

The fifth annual Goodman Fielder Awards have been announced. Frimley Primary School in Hastings this year became the Goodman Fielder School of the Year (2002). Sir Michael Hardie Boys said that Frimley Primary School clearly demonstrated quality education and outcomes in all aspects.

Other award winners are:
- Aokeautere School, Palmerston North- Best Small School Primary/Intermediate category
- Mountain View Primary School, Mangere- Best Medium Primary/ Intermediate School category
- Nayland college, Nelson- Best Secondary School category
- Mount Anglem College, Invercargill- Best Composite School.

Ron Vela, Goodman Fielder New Zealand manager has noticed, since the awards began, increasing excellence achieved by schools throughout the country and that this years winning schools are "true leaders in excellence and innovation".
