This Institute was founded 13 years ago and was operating as Ellipse Health and Beauty Training School. At that time we were totally focused on Health and Beauty training. However in 2004 the board and management decided that there was a need to expand and diversify into other areas of training. Accordingly a decision was reached that the name of the school be changed more appropriately to Ellipse Institute. Courses are offered in Beauty and Body Therapy, Computing, Business and English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), which are NZQA approved and accredited. |

The NZ School of Hypnotherapy offers a Diploma course for those interested in becoming a professional clinical hypnotherapist that consists of distance learning and on site learning plus supervision. Most often students are studying whilst working full or part time. Selwyn House School
Selwyn House is an independent, non-denominational girls' day and boarding school and an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Selwyn House educates girls from Pre-school to Year 8 with boys being part of our Pre School.

Totara Springs is the largest centre of its kind in New Zealand and is the ultimate venue for school camps, church retreats, business conferences, sporting events, holiday camps and weddings. We can cater for up to 420 people in 18 cabins, 27 fully serviced motels, 3 lodges. Camps and events are fully catered by our resident chef and events teams and special dietary needs can be accommodated. A wide range of sports equipment is available as well as a laundry, vending machines, microphones, Eftpos, broadband, photocopying and facsimile services. Our prices are inclusive of meals, instructing and activities (the only exclusion being Paintball).
