The National Trade Academy provides New Zealand and international students with a range of courses to gain the practical skills and knowledge required to start a career. Our training courses are designed for all types of people including School leavers, International students, and people looking at changing their career. Based at Wigram Airbase, Christchurch, our courses are focused on Land Based industries such as Farming (Dairy, Sheep, Beef, Deer, Mixed Cropping), Equine (Horses), Wool Harvesting, Horticulture, Pest Control, Nursery etc, plus short courses for skills such as All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) safety and Chainsaw safety. We have courses to suit people regardless of qualification level or ability. We also offer a range of Trade introduction courses around work-based learning. Industries such as Flooring, Plumbing, Roofing and General Trades are covered.
