Rangi Ruru Early Childhood College (RRECC) is a specialist private tertiary training provider with an established reputation.  The College is set in the grounds of Rangi Ruru Girls’ School close to central Christchurch.  The Rangi Ruru Early Childhood College includes the Rangi Ruru Pre-school.  We welcome international students and the College has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.

RRECC now only offers the NZ Certificate in Nanny Education (level 5), and, for qualified teachers, a Certificate in Infant and Toddler Mental Health (level 7) – last intake in 2012.

Students are supported in their learning by a team of experienced specialist tutors.  An affiliated onsite early childhood centre provides College students with regular practical learning opportunities.  The Nanny Education course also includes a variety of practical experiences in home settings.  RRECC qualifications are well respected and students pursue careers with young children, in homes across New Zealand and overseas.

Study Options
Rangi Ruru Early Childhood College currently offers one pre-service early childhood qualification, the one-year nanny (level 5) qualification.  A Certificate in Infant and Toddler Mental Health is available to qualified early childhood teachers.  The Nanny Education programme is delivered as a face-to-face full time course of study commencing in February.
