Western Institute of Technology (WITT)
Nestled beneath the awe-inspiring Mount Taranaki the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT) is a quality tertiary education institution based in New Zealand's cultural and surfing hub. WITT's main campus is in New Plymouth, on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island.
WITT focuses its courses particularly on vocational outcomes, and seeks to ensure that graduates are able to enter the workforce successfully or to advance their careers through further education or training.
Our small size means that we are able to focus on the needs of our students and provide high-quality tuition in a small class environment. We also work very closely with industry to ensure that our students get real industry experiences and are able to learn from this on-the-job training.

The 2015 International Student Barometer report, released by i-graduate, an international body aimed at measuring global student satisfaction, showed Witt had a 92 per cent satisfaction rate from the 92 international students surveyed.
Opportunities for part-time work and low living costs are two big benefits for international students studying at Taranaki's WITT, an international survey has found.
WITT was ahead of the national satisfaction average for earning money (by 15 per cent), living costs (13 per cent) and accommodation costs (11 per cent).
Witt international relationship manager Carol Allen said, "The results indicate that Taranaki is seen as an attractive destination with affordable living costs, offering good quality, reasonably priced accommodation and providing the opportunity to earn money while studying."
Witt also recorded above average scores for how it welcomed students, the overall learning package it provided, and pastoral care.
