Martin Hautus The Pacific Peoples Learning Institute celebrates its twentieth year of service to the people of Auckland, Manukau, the pacific Islands, India and other international countries.   Martin Hautus Institute is an NZQA registered and accredited Private Training Establishment. The Institute acknowledges the importance of Pacific and Maori learners participating in post-compulsory level education to provide them with necessary and transferable skills and knowledge and develop appropriate attitudes in preparation for employment and their important contribution to New Zealand society both economically and socially.

 

The purpose of Martin Hautus the Pacific Peoples Learning Institute is to provide
quality education and training for the people of Aotearoa New
Zealand, with
the focus on Pacific and Maori learners and offering opportunities to all
prospective domestic and international learners. The Institute offers a
broad spectrum of academic programmes at different levels in
Computing, Music, Travel & Tourism, Literacy, Performing Arts & Music,
Business, Management, (

courses are from Level 2 to Diploma Level 5 or 6. Qualifications gained
at Martin Hautus are nationally recognised throughout
New Zealand.

 

Martin Hautus Institute welcomes all cultures of the world to learn at
their campus situated in the lively, multi-cultural city of
Auckland,
New Zealand.  Classes at the institute are small hence, there is
the opportunity of more individual attention for students. 
Students do not feel lost or ?just a number' among hundreds of students.
The delivery of courses in modular form enables a student to enter courses at any
time provided a space is available.  Many of the courses at Martin Hautus staircase
students on to higher-level studies at university and polytechnics.

 

 

The style of education at Martin Hautus is a holistic one underpinned by:

 

  • Spiritual values - These are nurtured through respect and care provided to all learners regardless of race, religion or beliefs.  In addition it is expressed through Bible readings or reflections and prayers.
    • Academic Excellence - This is generated by raising expectations at the outset and providing a pathway to degree level courses or sustainable employment.  When this is achieved, all learners will have the opportunity to participate and contribute positively to New Zealand's society.
      • Cultural Appreciation - A harmonious and vibrant society may only be achieved through cultural appreciation.  Martin Hautus Institute provides opportunities for all learners to learners will have the opportunity to be awarded credits and/or other forms of recognition.
