"Fast-track" teaching scheme to launch

Teach First NZ and Auckland University are developing a programme where in February they will  recruit 20 people who already have a degree and then place them in  a programme which will train them for six weeks.

The purpose is to place these graduates in low-decile secondary schools and in subject areas where teachers are in short supply.

The course is condensed version of the previous year long course.
