There has been much discussion around the importance of New Zealand delivering quality education to International students. Recently there has been a tightening up where providers are not having a high enough success rate. Some institutions have been criticised for the lack of depth they have to their courses and whether it provides the quality of education we would like New Zealand to be recognised for.
The Ministry of Education does provide information about the performance of providers as does the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. If you are wanting to learn more about the performance of a school or early childhood service information about performance can be found from an Education Review Office's report. Information about performance of a Private Training Establishment or Institute of Technology or Polytechnic can be obtained from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. For students wishing to enter a University Programme advice can be sought from Universities New Zealand.
