What are the symptoms of ADHD? A child with ADHD - Makes careless mistakes or often fails to give close attention to details.
- Has difficulty sustaining attention.
- Does not appear to listen.
- Struggles to follow instructions.
- Loses things..lots of things.
- Often forgets daily activities.
- Is easily distracted.
- Has difficulty with organization.
- Avoids or dislikes tasks requiring sustained mental effort.
In addition the child with hyperactivity also - Fidgets alot and squirms in his/her seat or can incessantly kick his feet or make sounds with tapping finers.
- Has difficulty remaining seated.
- Runs about or climbs excessively
- Acts as if driven by a motor.
- Talks excessively.
- Blurts out answers
- Has difficulty waiting turns
- Often interrupts or intrudes upon others.
