New Changes to Visa Rules for Group Students

Changes to Visa Rules for Group Students

Minister Joyce recently approved an amendment to the Group Student definition in the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students (the Code).

The change effectively means
that group Students no longer need to apply for a group visa from Immigration New  Zealand to be treated as Group Students under the Code. They can enter NZ on individual visitor visas. This will make things easier, especially for students coming from visa waiver countries who do not need to apply for a visa in advance of their travels to New Zealand.
