Update on Computer Power (NZ) Limited (In Liquidation)

23 March 2012

Update on Computer Power (NZ) Limited (In Liquidation)

Price Waterhouse Coopers

John Fisk and Jeremy Morley of PwC, Liquidators of Computer Power (NZ) Limited (In Liquidation), today provided an update on the progress of the Liquidation following on discussions with relevant stakeholders and interest parties.

Mr Fisk says We have been in discussions with The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) and a potential purchaser. We are looking for the most appropriate way forward for all involved parties, including the school's staff and students.

The Liquidators acknowledge the situation has been and is still unsettling for those affected by the liquidation.

We are optimistic an agreement will be reached next week and it is likely an alternate provider will pick up all or part of the ongoing operations of the school and offer students the opportunity to continue their studies. Negotiations are continuing at this stage, adds Mr Fisk.

The Liquidators will provide further updates as appropriate. In the interim, classes are continuing and students are urged to continue with their studies under the direction of Computer Power staff and direct any other enquiries they have to NZQA as previously advised.
