As we sat in the auditorium with over 2000 FPS students, the enormity of it hit me. The MC read out 9

teams to go on stage and we were not in the top 9. I thought, we had worked hard and getting to the

internationals was amazing. Knowing that in NZ we were in the Junior division and at Internationals

we were put up into the Middle division made me realise how amazing the triumph was. The MC

then said ��the grand champion for the middle division is M247��. Oh my god, I could not believe

it, I cried and I think I was in shock. Beating 66 other teams is beyond my comprehension really.

So now we have this trophy that is nearly as tall as me. Rowan is happily carrying it around and

I know it will take pride sitting in the FPS room.

The kids have been fantastic. They have met new friends, taught the kids from Michigan how to

play rugby and kids from Chicago how to do the haka! We are now ready for a well earned rest.
