89% of international students satisfied with their NZ experience

89% of the 13,130 international students who took part in the i-graduate surveys in 2011 and 2012 were satisfied, or very satisfied, with their overall experience. Students in secondary schools were the most satisfied, with 94% saying they were happy or very happy with their overall experience.

The 2012 surveys took place in May and June in private training establishments, English language providers and secondary schools, bringing the 2011/12 survey project to a close. Students in universities and ITPs were surveyed in 2011.

Sharon Calvert from i-graduate research group presented the key results to staff from the participating sectors in both Christchurch and Auckland in August. These presentations and summary results reports are now available on the Ministrys Education Counts website: http://www.educationcounts.govt.nz/statistics/international/international-students-in-new-zealand.
